Rules and Regulations
If a respective business falls within an industry that is regulated in any way, then all certifications and licenses must be current in order to be listed on the East Liberty Website. By way of example only, for a housing provider to qualify to be listed in the stay/live residential housing section of the Website (Hotels, B&B, Apartments), the provider must have at least 2 of the following: at least 25 units/rooms; state licensure; professional membership in an accredited association related to real estate/hotels, and; tax identification number. Individual properties available for sale/lease will not be listed.
All real estate brokers must be licensed by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission and will be listed automatically if they meet the following criteria: Operate at least one satellite office within the District Map Boundary or are Chamber Members, and; have at least three sales agents working under their license. Individual sales agents (commercial and/or residential) may list their individual contact information provided that they are members of the Chamber and meet the licensing requirements set forth by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.
All medical facilities, including medical, MHMR, senior care homes, home health/hospice agencies, ambulatory surgical facilities, etc. must be licensed to practice under the PA Department of Health licensing and must be in current compliance with State and Federal Health and Safety Standards in order to be listed on the East Liberty Chamber Website. For hospitals, senior care facilities, birth centers, and/or any overnight facility which administers any type of medical procedures and/or care, in addition to meeting the licensing requirements outlined hereinabove, the provider must have the following: at least 25 units/rooms; and; tax identification number.
