This Site was made possible thanks to a grant from DCED, procured through Senator Jim Ferlo’s office. We are so very grateful to both DCED and Senator Ferlo for this opportunity!
The Site lists ALL businesses, for-profit and non-profit, that operate within, or on the adjoining line of, the “District Map” [link] . The District Map was created for the sole purpose of attempting to define the market area that best represents East Liberty’s business district. A great deal of time was expended defining the District Map as it was a more difficult task than we had anticipated. There are awesome businesses that serve East Liberty that are beyond the District, and we support them all. At the end of the day, a line had to be drawn.
If you are a business that is located outside of the District, you can be listed on the Site by becoming a member of the East Liberty Quarter Chamber of Commerce. As a member, in addition to the many other benefits available to you from the Chamber, you will have a direct link to your site and will be permitted to advertise your business on the Site. If your business “use” falls under multiple categories, it will be listed as such with live links under each category.
“ADVANCING THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY”
The East Liberty Quarter Chamber of Commerce (“ELQCC”) is leading the way toward long-term business prosperity.
The Chamber’s Strategic Focus Areas Are:
MEMBER SERVICES: Business members are the back bone of the Chamber. To serve you well, we will continuously research, develop and enrich these services, always seeking programs integral to your business success.
ADVOCACY: A successful business community participates in the larger community, ensuring the business perspective is at the forefront of any community conversation or legislative bill. Our clear goal is decision making which serves the greater, long term goal of the overall community.
COMMUNITY BUILDING: Collaboration builds a stronger organization and a stronger community. The Chamber is continually seeking out alliances with community partners, avoiding duplication of efforts. We are focused on the future of our community, actively engaged in supporting actions and solutions that will result in a brighter, more prosperous future.
The Chamber’s goal is to meet the needs of the business community. As such, we would like to hear from YOU as to what needs your respective business might have with which the Chamber might assist. Please help the Chamber help YOU by completing our “What can the Chamber do for YOU?” questionnaire here.
